SPONTANEOUS
A NEW BOOK

SPONTANEOUS

A journey of faith, hope, love, family and becoming …

K.G. BROWN

Who has loved you enough to stay?

There are seasons when the job hasn’t come, the marriage is still a prayer, and the dream feels permanently delayed. In those seasons, faith is often what we hold onto when there is nothing else visible to hold.

About the book

Part memoir, part companion for the wait

SPONTANEOUS is a Scripture-rooted collection of reflections on faith, hope, love, family and becoming. Told in five parts and seventeen short chapters, it asks you to go first: to apologize first, forgive first and ask for help first. It shows that the gifts we dismiss as ordinary are often where purpose begins, and how a battle that refuses to end on schedule can be held with faith.

At its heart is a quiet story from the author’s grandmother, about a presence who sat beside her and never gave up on her, and whom she came to know as Jesus. The book closes with the author’s own years of waiting, ten anxious days beside a NICU incubator, and the name of the son who made the waiting worth it: Dayenu, “it would have been enough.”

Warm, story-driven and made of short, reflective chapters, it will resonate with readers who love the gentle encouragement of Max Lucado and the everyday faith stories of Bob Goff. It offers no easy answers, only companionship through the wait.

FROM THE AFTERWORD
The epilogue
DAYENU
“It would have been enough.”

After years of waiting, a little boy arrived earlier than expected. Ten days beside a hospital incubator turned the family’s long wait into a declaration of gratitude that doesn’t wait for every blessing before it sings.

Your story is not finished.
